HOW TO CREATE CONTENT IN INDIAN LANGUAGES WITH GOOGLE TRANSLATOR KIT

Google Indic Transliteration can be used for many Indian languages such as Hindi,Kannada,Telugu,Tamil,Malayalam where you type words as pronounced in the language of your choice in English and it gives you the writing in the desired language. It is not a perfect translation, since you have to type out in English as you speak in the desired language which can be cumbersome. You can even send emails this way now. Go to Settings in your Gmail account and under General heading enable transliteration in the desired Indian language. Now you can type and shoot an email in your mothertongue or send an assignment to your Kannada/Hindi teacher online.
The new Goggle Translator tool kit now simplifies the process and you can directly type your words in the language of your choice. You can also share it online with whoever you choose. And store as Translation Memory(TM).

LEARN KANNADA CONVERSATION

Kannada is a South Indian language that students take up while studying in schools and colleges. Most people migrating to Karnataka also find themselves looking for a tutor to teach them Kannada. Conversational Kannada is easy to study by oneself if you can listen to audio snippets while reading the same thing in English.I have endeavored to create a blog dedicated entirely to learning Kannada Conversation. People of all ages can use this blog to be able to confidently speak the language. People I have taught also discussed the need to get more fluent in the language while speaking to a native speaker. All these issues are addressed and I hope many around the world seeking to learn from a Kannada tutor will find this blog useful.

HOW TO MAKE AN INTERACTIVE LANGUAGE BLOG

Blogs can be used in the classroom in several ways to teach a language or to make it more interactive.Keeping the students engaged can be a daunting task particularly if the language to be taught is part of the academics and the students do not like the language.I have been experimenting with learners of all ages teaching English,Kannada and Hindi conversation and find that the levels of interest and the keenness to learn make all the difference in the progress made.
Creating a blog to teach Kannada conversation was important to me since I found many professionals wanting to learn the language but not finding good resources online.Whether you are in USA or UK,or in Bangalore city, wanting to be able to speak Kannada is of utmost importance for many for various reasons.
Over the past week,I have endeavoured to create a blog dedicated to teaching you Kannada conversation and fluency. Each blog post will have an English to Kannada translation of commonly used sentences pertaining to a particular topic or situation. Instead of reading on your own and not knowing if you pronounced it right,I have given an audio snippet from snapvine, reading out the same sentences at the bottom of the blog post. You just have to read along as you listen to the audio and practice till you perfect it. You may also add your voice comments at the end of the audio snippet,so you are welcome to use this feature to record the Kannada you are trying to learn and play it back. And then try it out! Before you know it,you will have mastered the art of conversing in Kannada.
