Abhinav Bindra,the youngest to represent the nation at the Olympics,won the the first individual gold medal for India in the10m air rifle category!
Usha Uthup crooned her famous"Congratulations and Celebrations......",last night on TV for this golden boy from Chandigarh.The proud parents were seen enjoying sweets while dancing "Bhalle,balle".The senior Bindra has invested much in Abhinav's training such as having the latest world class equipment,hiring an excellent coach,and building an AC training centre for him at home.Inspite of having a vision of -4 in both eyes and recovering from a spinal injury in Germany for a full year, Abhinav has remained very focused and has done the nation proud.Many Indian states and organizations have awarded him cash prizes and his father has promised to build a hotel worth 200 crore for his golden boy.
Watch this unassuming young lad as he puts India on the Olympic medal map.The national flag is hoisted as the Anthem is played and Bindra is a household name,an inspiration to many young Indians.
